SIRATI & Partners was retained by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to undertake a geotechnical investigation to complete a slope stability and erosion risk assessment of the slope behind 219, 221, 223, 224, 225 and 226 Roslin Avenue, in the City of Toronto and provide remedial slope rehabilitation options.

The purpose of this geotechnical investigation was to determine the subsurface conditions at various borehole locations and from the findings in the boreholes, carry out the detailed slope stability study and make recommendations for the Long-term Stable Slope Crest (LTSSC) as per TRCA’s Guidelines.

Reports of damage included a failure on the valley slope behind 226 Roslin Avenue which was reported to have occurred following the July 8, 2013 severe weather event.
